As the years go by and joints aren't quite as efficient as they were, yet there may be within you the wish to keep our unique dance traditions going, there is now the opportunity to ‘have a go' by walking to the rhythms of some Scottish Country, mixed with Ceilidh and Line dancing. This new practice is endorsed by NHS Dumfries and Galloway and RSCDS, the body to keep our traditions alive worldwide. It's a new venture since our dedicated dance teacher Hilary had to leave because of family circumstances. Our numbers are small at present but our new professional dance teacher Anne Robertson is encouraging us to try this as demonstrated at the recent Scottish celebration.
We invite you to come and share your dance style with us, have a bit of fun with 'the marriage' when we plan to meet fortnightly in the Lanark Thistle Bowling Club, with convenient car park on Thursday 5th and 19th February from 10.00am -11.30am.Looking forward to seeing you there, Irene Miller, Group Leader
